Before Your
Appointment

We want your visit to Mooring Dental to be as smooth and comfortable as possible. To help us provide you with the best care, please bring the following to your appointment:

Dental Insurance Card: If you have dental insurance, please bring your card so we can process your claim efficiently. Remember, even if we’re not in-network with your insurance, we can file your claim on your behalf.
List of Medications: Let us know about any medications you’re currently taking, as this can help us better understand your overall health.
Dental Concerns: If you have any questions, concerns, or goals regarding your dental health, be sure to share them with Dr. Mooring during your appointment.

We’ll also ask you to complete a few forms before your visit, which you can fill out online or in our office. Completing these forms in advance helps us provide a seamless experience and allows us to focus on what matters most – your smile!

Your First Visit

Your first appointment with us is all about getting a complete picture of your oral health and addressing any questions or concerns you may have. Here’s what you can expect during your visit:

Digital X-Rays

We'll start with digital X-rays to capture a detailed image of your teeth, jaw, and overall dental structure. This helps us detect any issues that may not be apparent during a regular visual examination.

Comprehensive Oral Examination

Dr. Sean Mooring will conduct a thorough oral exam, checking for signs of tooth decay, gum disease, oral cancer, and any other oral health concerns. This is also an excellent opportunity for you to discuss any dental goals or concerns you may have.

Professional Cleaning

In most cases, one of our experienced hygienists will perform a professional cleaning, removing plaque and tartar buildup, polishing your teeth, and assessing the health of your gums.

Personalized Treatment Plan

Based on the results of your X-rays and exam, Dr. Mooring will discuss any recommended treatments with you. This is the perfect time to ask questions and share any preferences or concerns about your dental care.

Mooring Dental Membership Plan

We believe that maintaining good oral health shouldn’t be out of reach, even if you don’t have dental insurance. That’s why we offer an in-house Mooring Dental Membership Plan, designed to provide comprehensive dental care at an affordable price. This plan is ideal for patients without insurance and includes regular check-ups, cleanings, and discounts on additional treatments.
